Shimonoseki City Foreign Tourist Stay Promotion Subsidy

Subsidized businesses

A travel agency that plans, organizes, or arranges group tours to Japan, and that is registered as a travel agency under the relevant laws and regulations of Japan or its own country

Conditions

* The number of customers sent at one time must be 10 or more.
(Excluding tour operators, interpreter guides, drivers, etc.)
*The tour’s purpose is sightseeing, and lodgings are within Shimonoseki City.
*The visiting group is not receiving any other financial support from Shimonoseki City, the Kanmon Straits Tourism Promotion Council, or the Shimonoseki Tourism Campaign Executive Committee for the cost of staying in Shimonoseki City.

Aid amount

*2,000 yen/night for each touring guest
*Up to 100,000 yen per travel agency

Application and Payment Process

- The applicant must must attach the tour outline (implementation date, tour name, itinerary, expected number of guests, accommodation date and accommodation facility name) at least 10 days before the tour, and apply for the Shimonoseki City Foreign Tourist Stay Promotion Project Subsidy. Submit an application for issuance to Shimonoseki City. (Email can be sent)
- After screening, Shimonoseki City will notify the applicant of the Shimonoseki City Foreign Tourist Stay Promotion Project Subsidy Grant Decision Notification.
- Applicants must submit the Shimonoseki City Foreign Tourist Stay Promotion Project Subsidy Implementation Report and Subsidy Request Form by the 20th day following the completion of the tour, along with the following set of documents.

□ List of all tour participants’ names (actual)
□ Proof of lodging
□ Other（　　　　　　　　　　　　）

Shimonoseki City will send payment directly to the applicant’s bank acount..
* Shimonoseki City will bear the remittance fee to the overseas account, and the applicant will bear the receipt fee.
